Healing from Childhood Emotional Neglect

$1,200.00

Thanks to the work of several wonderful psychologists, we now understand how important it is for children to have a healthy, consistent emotional attachment to an emotionally mature and attuned caregiver. Unfortunately, many of us did not receive this quality of care. If you’re highly sensitive and empathic like me, childhood emotional neglect can be devastating.

This has been an area of deep interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve spent most of my adult life exploring this area of mental health. Thanks to the work of renowned psychologists like Stephen Porges, Jonice Webb, Lindsay Gibson, John Bowlby and many other groundbreaking researchers and therapists, we now have a better understanding of the impacts that insecure attachment and emotional neglect can have on child development. We also know that those problems can persist into adulthood and wreak havoc on our relationships, careers, and families as well as significantly reduce our overall wellness and happiness.

I’ve invested a decade of my life working on overcoming my own experiences of emotional neglect. As a highly sensitive person who feels things deeply, it’s taken me a long time to understand myself and uncover the roots of my feelings of unworthiness, emptiness and deep sadness. I have mapped the depths, explored the wounds, and tended to the pain. I’ve developed a keen emotional intelligence that has helped me rebuild healthy, consistent emotional connections and intimacy with others. This work is never done, but it has given me a sense of wholeness and self-trust that I never knew was possible.

I now feel passionate about sharing the insights and wisdom I’ve gained and mentoring others toward their own wholeness and emotional maturity.

Yes, childhood emotional neglect is real. Yes, it hurts. Yes, you can recover. Let’s talk about it.

The journey starts with an exploratory session to see if we would be a good fit for each other. This is a 15 min call to discuss your history, where you are on your journey, and how I can help you.

From there, we will make a road map to navigate toward the destination of recovery from CEN.
